Google Penguin FAQs
Poor quality links can include; blog commenting, private blog networks (PBNs), purchased links, low quality web directories, links from sites with illegal or explicit content.
Our team will first audit your backlink profile to identify your toxic backlinks. Then we reach out to the identified toxic websites and get in contact with the webmaster whether it is through the contact form on their website or via social media.
If, after we have reached out to webmasters numerous times across different communication methods and it hasn’t worked, then we can use Google’s Disavow tool to disassociate your website with the links in question.
After we have manually reached out to webmasters and disavowed toxic links, we will then start to build natural links in accordance with Google’s guidelines. We acquire quality links through content marketing, blogger outreach, social outreach and PR.
Google Panda Recovery
Google Panda was announced in 2011, with the aim of rewarding websites with higher quality content and penalising poor websites with poor quality content or “thin” content. Some of the sites that were hit the hardest were news websites and social media platforms due to the number of advertisements on the sites.
What do we audit?
Design & UX
Browser compatibility & compliance
Content
Site hierarchy & architecture
Keyphrase focus & rankings
Technical performance & optimisation
Previous website changes
Google Panda FAQs
Panda was initially announced in 2011 with the aim of displaying higher quality websites in search results.
In short, it is usually because content on your website isn’t good enough. You must make sure that all your content is unique, substantial, compelling and relevant to search queries.
Avoid; duplicate content on your own website, plagiarising from other sites, keyword stuffing, thin content, a poor user experience (e.g. a slow site) and website security issues.
Of course. Some of your competition may have been penalised alongside you but they may not be aware. This is why it is important to always follow the best practises consistently to stay ahead of the game.
By always thinking of the user first. Don’t manipulate search engines, they will always be able to distinguish good sites from bad. Provide the user with thorough and clear answers that they were looking for and you will be rewarded. Avoid keyword stuffing and in addition, be cautious of the ad-to-content ratio.
